Joie de Vivre: Almost Full Moon
Inspired by simple pleasures and the exuberant enjoyment of life, what the French refer to as “ joie de vivre”.
This image of the raccoon climbing on top of the deer (there was an earlier version with a bear) in an attempt to grab the moon was inspired by a book written by Eric Carle - about a little girl who asks her father for the moon. Since having my daughter, I read a lot of children's books and they often lead to ideas for paintings.
