Joie de Vivre: Higher Tea
Inspired by simple pleasures and the exuberant enjoyment of life, what the French refer to as “ joie de vivre”.
Over ten years ago I was offered a sizable collection of mismatched teacups and saucers. Having a weakness for free things, porcelain and all things pretty, I eagerly accepted. At the time we were in need of a ceiling light fixture and I had seen a diy teacup chandelier on Apartment Therapy. I went out to purchase the proper bit and chose my least favorite cup to be the guinea pig. I don't remember if I had success or not in drilling the hole but I do remember he high anxiety induced by the process. I ditched that idea and stored them away for safe keeping. They are still wrapped in bubble waiting for a grand purpose.
