"Joie de Vivre: Queen Anne's Lace" Limited Edition Print (Unframed)
Inspired by wildflowers and things with wings.
I've always loved Queen Anne's Lace. A few years ago I thought it would be nice to have some in our garden so I picked a few dried up seed pods in early fall and sprinkled them throughout my front bed. To simply say they sprouted would be an understatement. They completely took over the garden. Live and learn. Some wild things are best left in the wild (or at least in a somewhat larger garden). I also love picking Queen Anne's Lace in late summer and pressing them. Then in the winter I hang one from each window in our home, they look like snowflakes and serve as a reminder of the beauty that spring and summer bring.
