"Joie de Vivre: Cake and Tea" Limited Edition Print (Unframed)
Inspired by the joy found in all things sweet - friends, confections and tea (I take mine with a pinch of sugar and a dash of milk).
I've painted lots of sweet treats, and while I do have a weakness for baked goods, they carry more meaning than simply indulging. They bring back memories of my childhood. Over the past year baking alongside my daughter has become something I've turned to for comfort. It never ceases to amaze me how the careful combination of a few simple ingredients can result in something so beautiful and delicious. There is also the fantasy element. In my world the fox doesn't eat the squirrel, they share a table, toast to happiness, eat fancy cakes (and never count calories).

I feel terrible that it’s taken so long to get this out. Very busy gal but did want to put a review in. Bottom line, this print is pure whimsical delight!! I’ve ordered a selection of her postcards to frame as well. They’re lovely and all are perfect for my new Grandsons nursery! I adore this artists portrayal of wildlife in such whimsical settings. During these trying times it’s quite healing to immerse yourself in her woodland animal fantasy’s. I first saw her work in an issue of Spiritualality &Health magazine. Very appropriate format for her work. I’m now a forever fan and collector!
