I love mushrooms. A few years ago my husband and I teamed up to cook a classical Italian pasta pie, if you will, featuring a variety of mushrooms. Chopping and simmering, the soundtrack of “the Big Night” in the background, we didn’t finish until well after midnight. The result was underwhelming but the memory of this night I will always treasure. I’ve never been foraging for mushrooms. It’s on my list of things to learn how to do when I grow up.
