My son had been commenting that he really missed summer. While I don't share his high anxiety of getting in and out of snow pants, I too was feeling the same longing. For warmth and color. I associate hummingbirds with summertime. It feels like such an honor each time we are visited. Strange how they are so very swift yet time seems to stop as I watch them flutter from dahlia to verbena.
