Inspired by night owls and things with wings.
The morning I started this painting I woke up with the song "We Belong" in my head. I always thought the lyrics were 'we belong to the night, we belong to the darkness'. It turns out the refrain is actually 'we belong to the light, we belong to the thunder'. I love Pat Benatar and epic eighties power ballads in general. There will never be a time that I don't get excited when that song comes on the radio.
