I was today years old when I learned that Toadstools (the bright red mushroom with white spots) were real. I thought that they were fantastical mushrooms created for realms like Alice's Wonderland or the Mushroom Kingdom ruled by Princess Peach. I was also older than I'd like to admit when informed that Jackalopes are not real, while narwhals, indeed are. What a wonderful world.
